Tyler Herro to the Indiana Pacers
Another team that could emerge as a possible landing spot for Tyler Herro could be the Indiana Pacers. It was reported that the Pacers were interested in adding a wing heading into the NBA Draft; maybe Herro could be that wing. In this hypothetical deal, Miami would send Herro Nikola Jovic and a protected 2027 future first-round pick in exchange for Buddy Hield (who the Pacers will likely be looking to trade either way).
Essentially, this would be Herro and two first-round picks for Hield. That should be enough for the Pacers to remain on the phone. The big question is whether Indiana believes Herro could be a fit next to Tyrese Haliburton, Bennedict Mathurin, and Myles Turner. Considering the defenders that the Pacers have already on their roster, perhaps having an average (at best) defender wouldn’t hurt that much.
Plus, let’s not forget; Herro is a really good offensive player. And you’d have to imagine that playing next to a dynamic playmaker as Haliburton is, he would be in even better positions to succeed. The Heat offense struggled all season long and their spacing was horrific. That wouldn’t be a problem for Herro with the Pacers.
Maybe the Pacers would be open to it? It makes sense for Miami.
