Worst moves made by the Milwaukee Bucks this offseason

Even though the overwhelming belief is that the Milwaukee Bucks are going to be a favorite to win the Eastern Conference once again, there were a couple of questionable moves made by the team this summer.

Re-signing Jae Crowder

After holding out for much of last season and then finally being traded to the Bucks, Jae Crowder didn’t play much of a role for the team. He only played in 18 regular season games and averaged just 10 minutes per game in four appearances in the playoffs against the Miami Heat.

Maybe he didn’t have enough time to gel with the team or to settle into the right role, but I don’t entirely understand the decision to re-sign Crowder. Not sure this will end up being the best move for the Bucks in the long run this season.

Not selling Giannis Antetokounmpo on the future

The fact that there’s at least some doubt that not everyone in the Bucks’ organization is on the same page, in the words of Giannis, is quite telling. At the very least, that tells you that Giannis is at least somewhat second-guessing the team’s plan for the future.

The last thing the Bucks need right now is doubt creeping into the mind of Giannis. If nothing else, it’s something to keep an eye on heading into the start of the season.
