Philadelphia 76ers
With the start of NBA Training Camp around the corner, there remains much unresolved in Philadelphia. They still have the James Harden situation hanging over their heads and, perhaps most importantly, they need to find a way to add another strong piece to keep pace with both the Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks. Right now, especially with the moves that they made this offseason, both of those teams are a great deal better than the Sixers. Even more so if Harden isn’t going to play for the franchise anymore.
Holiday is not Harden, but he may be the better player at this point in their careers. If the Sixers can pry Holiday away from the Blazers, Philadelphia could once again emerge as a real threat in the Eastern Conference. Plus, I’m sure Holiday would at least be intrigued by the idea of a reunion with the Sixers – he played in Philly for the first four years of his career.
Holiday would be a great fit next to Tyrese Maxey and could help make up for the limitations that he has on the defensive end of the floor.
