Utah Jazz

Trade candidate: Talen Horton-Tucker

Talen Horton-Tucker is currently owed $11 million this season on an expiring deal. The Utah Jazz hope to give more minutes to their young, emerging guards such as Ochai Agbaji and Keyonte George. Even though THT played very well when given full control at the point guard position last season after the team traded Mike Conely at the trade deadline, it’s not likely that he’s going to be given the same level of role this season.

Maybe there’s a chance the team can sell themselves on his prior performance but he does not feel like a vital piece to this team’s future.

Washington Wizards

Trade candidate: Johnny Davis

Johnny Davis was taken 10th overall in last year’s NBA Draft and rarely saw the court last year even on a bad (and injured) Washington Wizards team. They added more guard depth this offseason making it tough for Davis to be able to get consistent minutes.

Since he is still young, there may be a team out there that will take the chance on him if the Wizards lose faith in him. It all depends on the team’s success as well as his performance. It is a wait-and-see with Davis if he can get real minutes in the NBA.
