Breakout candidate: Jordan Poole
As the Washington Wizards head into a rebuild, it’s likely that there are going to be some tough days ahead before things get better for the franchise. However, there’s one player that can completely change the outlook for the franchise this season – and that’s Jordan Poole. He was added this offseason as somewhat of a flier but he comes over from Golden State as a potential franchise-changer.
Poole is immensely talented and simply didn’t fit in the plans of the Warriors anymore. There’s hope that a change of scenery is exactly what Poole needed to get his career back on track. Whether or not that will indeed be the case remains to be seen, but he’s certainly one player on the Wizards’ roster who can breakout this season.
The start of the 2023-24 NBA season is nearly here and there are plenty of storylines that will offer plenty of intrigue throughout the year. The next slate of breakout players will certainly be atop the list of driving storylines this season in the Association.
