Was last season an anomaly for the Denver Nuggets?
Heading into the NBA Playoffs last season, there were many who believed the Denver Nuggets were going to fold once the pressure got to them. Or, at the very least, they would fall into the hands of a much more experienced team. That never happened. You can make the argument that the Nuggets were never pushed during their postseason run.
They were dominant and seemed to be head and shoulders better than every other team they faced off against. Denver won the NBA Championship and Nikola Jokic played like the best player in the world. The question heading into this season is whether or not they can pull off the feat again. In other words, was last season an outlier for the team?
The Nuggets are too talented and too well-coached for last season to be an anomaly, but I do believe that there are many who believe that to be the case. In an improved Western Conference, the Nuggets will have a tall task if they have any hopes of repeating as NBA Champions. But still, with one of the most talented and deepest rosters in the league, the Nuggets will have a great chance to win another chip this season.
