Malcolm Brogdon, Portland Trail Blazers
It would be extremely surprising if the Portland Trail Blazers didn’t trade Malcolm Brogdon before the NBA Trade Deadline. He’s had a good start to the season with the Blazers and could emerge as a valuable trade target for a playoff team looking for a final piece to put them over the top. Considering what the Philadelphia 76ers are losing in terms of playmaking and scoring with the exit of James Harden, Brogdon would be a solid target.
Brogdon doesn’t get nearly enough credit for being a good playmaker and would be a great offensive fit playing next to Tyrese Maxey and Joel Embiid. I’m not sure he’s the needle-mover that a player like Harden can be on a nightly basis but he’d certainly be an improved and offer some much-needed depth to the backcourt.
Brogdon would also offer added veteran experience that would help the team heading into the playoffs. If the Sixers could add Brogdon and potentially another player from the Blazers to address their depth, they could easily become a dark horse threat in the East heading into the push toward the playoffs.
