4. Dallas Mavericks

Heading into the season, there weren’t many that were high on the Dallas Mavericks. Personally, I absolutely loved their offseason. They added difference-making pieces around their core and brought in some much-needed depth. Luka Doncic is off to another amazing start to the season and the addition of Grant Williams is looking like one of the most underrated moves of the offseason.

The early concern for the Mavs, once again, relies on the defensive end of the floor. It’s the same tune from last season and the fact that they haven’t improved much is certainly something to monitor. Thankfully, their offense has been good enough this season that it hasn’t mattered all that much. However, if the Mavs want to emerge as a serious threat in the Western Conference, that’s something that will have to change.

If Dallas ends up making one more move at the NBA Trade Deadline, this is a team that could very much emerge as a sleeper contender in the Western Conference heading into the postseason.
