NBA Trade Rumor No. 2: Zach LaVine on the trade block
With the Chicago Bulls falling out of relevance in the Eastern Conference quickly, there have been growing whispers that Zach LaVine could end up on the trade block at some point before the NBA Trade Deadline. While the Bulls don’t appear to be shopping LaVine at the moment, there’s an expectation that will change as long as the Bulls continue to struggle.
The truly interesting part of all this revolves around how a LaVine market could look. While the likes of the Miami Heat, New York Knicks, Philadelphia 76ers, and Los Angeles Lakers are expected to be interested, there’s no guarantee any of those teams would be willing to meet the Bulls’ demand for LaVine.
If that does end up being the case, you can’t help but wonder what that will mean for LaVine and the Bulls for the remainder of this season. At this point, this is one of those situations that you can see going either way.
Prediction: In the end, unless the Bulls go on a crazy and unforeseen winning streak, LaVine is going to find his way to the trade block. With the way the speculation has been running rampant, I’d be shocked if LaVine wasn’t traded. I’m 80 percent sure he gets traded during the season.
