Five Popular NBA Predictions I Completely Disagree With

AUTHOR: | IN: NBA, Uncontested Shots | COMMENTS: None Yet

The 2010-11 NBA season is finally under way. That also means that it’s time for all the NBA writers to make their predictions for the season. I tend to do a predictions piece every year but I never had the chance to do so. So instead I’ve decided to take some of the more popular predictions and tell you why these people are wrong. Myth #1: The Chicago Bulls will finish in fourth in the Eastern Conference. It’s not that I don’t think the Bulls will be a great team this year. I also don’t think it’s far-fetched for the [...]

Note to Denver: Just rebuild now

AUTHOR: | IN: NBA | COMMENTS: None Yet

Amar’e Stoudemire, LeBron James, Chris Bosh and to a lesser extent: Carlos Boozer.  Why did I name those 4 players? All 4 signed with new teams this offseason with the former teams (Phoenix, Cleveland, Toronto and Utah) receiving little to nothing in return. The Denver Nuggets are sitting here with Carmelo Anthony, who said he’s not looking to sign the extension and has been rumored to want to go to either Chicago or New York. Denver is not looking to move him but right now, the writing’s on the wall. Denver not only needs to move Carmelo Anthony, Denver needs [...]

Miami-Boston recap: Boston wins, King Does His Thing

AUTHOR: | IN: NBA | COMMENTS: None Yet

The NBA season kicked off with a classic eastern conference, low scoring game.  The Boston Celtics cracked open the NBA season with a 88-80 win over LeBron James and the Miami Heat. There’s a couple things that I saw with caught my attention. Miami really had no chemistry. Not only that, the offense wasn’t in tune from what I saw. One friend pointed this out to me: It was the 2009 Cavaliers. LeBron and couple players who couldn’t help create anything. Dwyane Wade, coming off the hamstring issue wasn’t scoring nor was he efficent, but the numbers don’t say that [...]

Early Morning Free Throws

AUTHOR: | IN: NBA | COMMENTS: None Yet

With the season starting Tuesday, I figured you wanted news as well as articles. Well, I’m going to create a clever nickname for my daily links page. I decided: Early Morning Free Throws as the perfect name. Every Monday, I pick maybe 5-8 links that you need to see before going to work, school or…doing nothing. Enjoy and remember: The NBA season starts Tuesday. Utah Jazz: Title Contender?

AUTHOR: | IN: NBA | COMMENTS: 3 Comments

We see Los Angeles and Kobe Bryant carrying the last two NBA Championships walking around. We also see Kevin Durant and his hungry Oklahoma City squad. I’m really liking this Utah squad. If you didn’t read my 25 fearless predictions ( which you should), I have Utah as my representative for making the Finals out the west. Call me crazy? I don’t think so. There’s something really special about this Utah team.  I mean, REALLY special. I feel some potential 1998 in them. For one, we all can agree they’ve been the best western conference not named LA for the [...]

25 fearless NBA predictions

AUTHOR: | IN: NBA | COMMENTS: None Yet

Alright, I promised this, here are my 50 predictions that we will look back upon in the NBA season. We separate the predictions from the so-so predictions to the pretty gutsy ones. I broke them down by craziness. Soft 25. On January 1st, we will hear a ton of  “Allen Iverson returning to the NBA” talk. We will also hear 10-12 teams looking to sign him…yet he will not get signed. 24. Micheal Beasley will be a hauntingly good player in Minnesota this season. 23.  Utah will be the team everyone pick to beat the Lakers this season 22. Lakers [...]

NBA 2K11: The Untouchable.

AUTHOR: | IN: NBA | COMMENTS: None Yet

I’m 17 years old, I did not get to live in the Jordan era. I remember watching the 98 Finals game. That’s about my only Bulls/Jordan memory. Buying NBA 2K11 was a must for me. After mustering up my 65 dollars, I made to gamestop and for the PS3 (SmoothcriminalQ for you gamertag people out there) I purchased the game. Let me one of many to praise it: It’s the best basketball game I ever played. Let me explain why, the gameplay is 100% smooth, the rosters are solid ( No Landry Fields for my Knicks though!) and the unlimited [...]
