Oddly Enough: Orlando Is Improved

AUTHOR: | IN: NBA | COMMENTS: None Yet

Time heals all wounds, but in Orlando’s case, time (and trades) could fix all the problems in their current losing streak ( Orlando has now lost 8 of their last 10). Somehow, I came away impressed with Orlando. The first starting lineup turned out to be Nelson, Reddick, Richardson, Turkoglu and Howard.

My Eastern Outlook

AUTHOR: | IN: NBA | COMMENTS: None Yet

After reviewing the West, let’s chop up the East. I look and wonder where the playoff teams are going to come from. Time will tell, but I’ll tell you what: There’s some hope for New York. There’s also no hope in New Jersey sadly. Here’s what I seen, viewed and reviewed in the month I was gone in the East. Can’t Clip The Celtics Similar to the Lakers, the Celtics have seem to grabbed the Eastern Conference and ran away with it. Boston’s defense has been cranked up, thanks to a healthy Kevin Garnett.

Welcome To The Wild West

AUTHOR: | IN: NBA | COMMENTS: None Yet

Mr. Westbrook has OKC looking good. Via: LA Times While I was away, I had dozens of NBA games to watch. Oddly enough, I found myself watching a ton of west coast games and boy, was I surprised.  There’s just a couple things that caught my eye and I would like to share them with the readers. Here’s what I saw, I’m not going to breakdown on all teams, just the teams that I feel like I have to point out. -What’s Going On In Portland? I was wrong on this team 100%. Currently sitting at 12-14, I don’t know [...]

Wizards-Magic Swap

AUTHOR: | IN: NBA | COMMENTS: None Yet

Apparently, the Orlando Magic are excited about moving players today.  Reports are, Orlando and the Washington Wizards have agreed to a swap. The deal sends Rashard Lewis to Washington for Gilbert Arenas. For the Wizards, you pretty much save 2-4 million for a couple seasons for a player who’s 6-10, can’t work in the post and settles for jumpshots in Lewis. However, this deal does provide change for Lewis. Usually, once a player is traded, there’s a effect in which the player steps up. Feeling disrespected, Rashard Lewis could have a couple solid games next to a returning John Wall, Andrey [...]

Orlando Magic-Phoenix Suns Trade

AUTHOR: | IN: NBA | COMMENTS: None Yet

Unless you want to count Terrance Williams to Houston, the first NBA blockbuster has offically happened today! According to ESPN, The Suns and Magic agreed to a deal that involves Jason Richardson, Hedo Turkoglu and Earl Clark heading to Orlando for Vince Carter, Marcin Gortat, Mickael Pietrus, a 2011 1st round pick and 3 million dollars cash.  For the Suns, this is clearly a move where they cut back salary and get back pieces. Gortat will now get the chance to prove if he’s a true starting NBA center. Rumors out of Orlando was, Gortat was unhappy as a backup and [...]

I’m Back?

AUTHOR: | IN: NBA | COMMENTS: None Yet

After breaking my laptop, I’m back everyone. I will say, I missed writing. I have many things to jump back into. I have dozens of things to talk about.  It’s late (and I have school tomorrow), so I will start tomorrow. I have a couple of things to jump back into the fold with. Let’s just say, I have some questions about the Western Conference, I’m loving and enjoying the confusing Eastern conference plus we really need to discuss some of these potential trades.

The Only Reason The Fans of Cleveland Should Still Hate LeBron

AUTHOR: | IN: NBA, Uncontested Shots | COMMENTS: None Yet

They saw Art Modell leave for Baltimore and there was nothing they could do about it. Same goes for Jim Thome. They saw CC Sabathia and Cliff Lee get traded and even though they understood it, there was nothing they could do about it. They’ve accepted that the current rules in Major League Baseball are designed to give the teams in the larger markets the greatest chance to not only retain their best players but to continue to poach the smaller-market teams of their best players as they near free agency. You could argue that the only league with a level playing [...]
