So maybe this Dwight Howard and James Harden thing might actually work out. God knows it did on Thursday night when the Rockets played the Spurs in their second-to-last preseason game.

First, Howard took flight off an assist from his new running-mate:

Did Howard ever do that at all last season? I mean, man, how good is he going to be this season for the Rockets?

Not to be outdone, Harden had to get in on the going in on the Spurs. He threw a wicked no-look pass to Chandler Parsons:

If nothing else, this is going to be one really fun team to watch. Howard, Harden, Parsons…oh yea, plus you get to see the whole Omer Asik drama go down as well.

I’ll set the over/under at Christmas for when he gets traded. I just don’t think a Asik/Howard combination of any kind is going to work, no matter how good they could be if they liked each other.
