According to reports, the Brooklyn Nets asked the Houston Rockets about Jeremy Lin and Omer Asik. After the Rockets laughed for a good 15 minutes (reportedly), they offered a hypothetical counter of their own — requesting Deron Williams in exchange.

"[ESPN]According to a league source, the Rockets had preliminary talks with the Nets last week about Omer Asik and Jeremy Lin. Talks never gained any steam, but the source said the Rockets were doing their due diligence and Williams’ name came up. The Nets balked because one of the main reasons Pierce and Garnett agreed to a trade to Brooklyn was to play with Williams, according to the source."

This is like the worst franchise mode exchanges in NBA 2K ever. Like was this the Rockets trolling the Nets or was this the Nets trolling the Rockets? Like, is this a legitimate report? Of course it is, because it involves the Nets.
