We’re getting closer to the end of the season, folks. Let’s get to the rankings.

Los Angeles Clippers: 1 (1)

Week Record: 3-1 (I predicted 3-1)

RWB Record: 7-1

Well, the Clippers went 3-1 like I figured, although I saw a loss to the Rockets. They ended up losing to the Pelicans. They beat the Mavericks and Bucks too. This team continues its race for the top of the West.

This week they face the Timberwolves, Suns, and Mavericks. Let’s go with 2-1 because that what this team seems to do.

Washington Wizards: 2 (3)

Week Record: 2-2 (I predicted 3-1)

RWB Record: 8-6

The Wizards continue to play fairly well against the RWB division. They beat the slumping Hawks. They also beat the somewhat slumping Pacers. They did lose to the Suns and Nuggets. Right now, they sit in 6th place in the East, and seem like the Raptors or Bulls will be their first round match-up. Seems like going against the Raptors would be better for them.

This week, it’s the Bobcats, Celtics, Knicks, and Bulls. These Wizards haven’t been that easy to predict. I’m going with another 2-2.

Atlanta Hawks: 3 (2)

Week Record: 0-5 (I predicted 2-3)

RWB Record: 6-5

Wow…what happened? The Hawks looked like they were in great position in these rankings as well as in the East. They were several games above the Knicks for the 8th spot. Now? The Hawks are on a current six game losing streak and the Knicks are only 1.5 games back. We know they lost to the Wizards. They also lost to the Raptors, Suns, T-Wolves, and Blazers. Each of those teams are fighting for their playoff lives or seeding. So are the Hawks. So, it’s a little alarming that the Hawks weren’t able to improve their situation.

This week, they can try to get back on track. Three games. All at home. The Sixers, Bulls, and Cavaliers. I’m going to go with the Hawks. 2-1.

Detroit Pistons: 4 (4)

Week Record: 1-3 (I predicted 2-2)

RWB Record: 6-7

The Pistons were the team. They lost to the Sixers. Of all teams, it’s a RWB rival the Sixers took down. The Pistons are fading fast. Technically, they are still in the playoff race. But, with a 2-8 record in their last ten games, you can tell which way they’re headed. They beat the Jazz while losing to the Cavs, and Heat. After consistent domination of the Sixers, they lost by 25. Ouch.

This week, the Pistons’ season could end in disappointment (too late!). They face the Bucks, Pacers, Nets and Celtics. We’ll go with 1-3 which should eliminate them.

Philadelphia 76ers: 5 (5)

Week Record: 1-2 (I predicted 0-3)

RWB Record: 2-10

The Sixers are in the history books. But, at least they won’t be alone. They lost 26 games in a row before finally destroying the Pistons. That was interesting. They lost to the Rockets and Spurs as expected. The Pistons game was a wild card. Pistons had been in complete control; but it’s not like they are a good team either.

Now that the streak is over, will another one start? The Hawks, Bobcats, Celtics, and Nets. The Hawks might be hungry to keep their playoff spot. The Nets still have something to fight for. The Bobcats are fighting for their lives as well. The Celtics are the only team that probably won’t be fighting for much. They aren’t eliminated, but it’s a matter of time. 1-3.
