In our latest edition of our NBA power rankings, we take a look at the surging Cleveland Cavaliers

More from Sir Charles In Charge

It’s quite amazing what a healthy LeBron James could do for a Cleveland Cavaliers team that looked lost, disinterested and outmatched nearly every night just a few weeks ago.

After taking roughly two weeks off, LeBron James has catapulted his Cavs to win six of those seven games since his return back to the lineup. Cleveland is currently on a six-game winning streak that has seen the Cavs showcase the best offense in the NBA during that span (119 points per 100 possessions) and a much improved defense (allowing 103 per 100 possessions).

On top of that, beating teams during that span at the caliber of the Bulls and Thunder is just added gravy. It appears that we’re finally getting the Cleveland Cavaliers that many expected to see in November.

Then again, at that time LeBron James wasn’t healthy.

It’s quite amazing, though, to think that all this Cavs team needed to jumpstart was a healthy LeBron. If there’s any question whether he’s the best player in the NBA, or on the planet for that matter, those naysayers just need to go look at the Cavaliers’ last six games.

HE’S the difference between losing ugly and winning pretty.

LeBron James finally has the Cleveland Cavaliers playing like a contender, and you can bet on it staying this way the rest of this season.
