3) ADAM MORRISON

Selected #3 overall in the 2006 NBA Draft

Career Averages: 7.5 points, 2.1 rebounds, 37.3% field goal percentage

Selected over: Brandon Roy, Rudy Gay

Adam Morrison was once considered to be the second-coming of Larry Bird.

“sigh”

He was a scoring machine while playing at Gonzaga (28.1 points a game in junior year, led nation in scoring), but once he entered the NBA, his lack of athleticism, confidence and overall basketball ability eventually caught up with him.

His big claim to fame is riding the bench of the Los Angeles Lakers as they won back-to-back NBA Championships. It’s a damn shame that a guy like Morrison can get a ring but hall-of-fame players like Karl Malone, Reggie Miller and “Sir” Charles Barkley never won a single one. That’s a story for another day though.

Morrison is attempting to reenter the NBA by working out with the Brooklyn Nets. Who knows, maybe that will be enough to keep Deron Williams in town longer.
