It’s about time the cool kids showed up for the party.
LeBron James and his Miami Heat teammates have caught the “Harlem Shake” fever, finally succumbing to the infamous internet meme.
For a look at other NBA teams (Dallas Mavericks, Phoenix Suns), players and fans performing the “Harlem Shake”, click here.
The highlight of the video has to be Mario Chalmers, who dressed up as Super Mario from the video game franchise. I got a big kick out of that.
I couldn’t quite tell which player it was, but someone on the roster wore the mask of popular WWE Superstar Rey Mysterio, so that was pretty cool.
Udonis Haslem as a fireman, Ray Allen as a mock version of “The Phantom of the Opera”, Chris Bosh wearing a bathrobe and cowboy hat, James Jones as a clown and “King” James as a King (duh) all made appearances. I believe Dwayne Wade was the one wearing the blazer and Kanye West-esque Bear head, but I’m not completely sure.
The popularity of the meme has died down quite a bit recently, but better late than never, I suppose.
Enjoy the goofiness!
