The Charlotte Bobcats have announced that guard Ramon Sessions will miss the next two to four weeks with a second degree MCL sprain in his left knee. In a second-degree sprain, the ligament is torn such that many, but not all fibers are disrupted.·
His meniscus and ligaments are still intact, so surgery won’t be necessary.
Sessions complained of pain after the Bobcats 99-78 loss to the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday night. Ramon scored nine points on 3 for 10 shooting in just over twenty minutes of action.
An MRI later revealed the extent of his injury.
He’s currently the second-leading scorer on the Bobcats, averaging a career-high 14.4 points on 40.8% shooting from the field, including 3.8 assists and 2.8 rebounds a game.
