According to the RealGM, Damion James is healthy and ready to assume a role in helping a team this upcoming season.
"Damion James twice underwent surgery on his right foot within his first two NBA seasons, but he’s felt fully healthy and has helped lead the Miami Heat’s summer league team with averages of about 10 points and five rebounds."
However, sources tell RealGM that he hasn’t yet discussed anything with the Miami Heat so far regarding a training camp or regular season offer.
"“Everybody knows I belong in the league,” James told RealGM on Saturday. “I’m completely, 100 percent healthy. It’s been a great experience for me. I really look up to the Miami Heat and I really appreciate them for letting me come and be a part of their organization. I just want to show them that I can play, show them that I can belong here.”“I broke my foot and now my foot is 100 percent, ready to go.”"
James spent most of last season in the D-League, where he averaged 14.2 points and 7.8 rebounds per game for the Bakersfield Jam. In 34 games in the NBA, James has averaged 4.2 points and 3.5 rebounds since being drafted in 2010.
