So if you ever wondered what Platelet Rich Plasma therapy looked like (yea, me either) Kobe Bryant, who traveled to Germany to have the procedure done last week, posted this picture on his Instagram account to answer all your questions.
On Monday, the Lakers said that they knew about Kobe leaving to have this therapy done, but Lakers coach Mike D’Antoni said otherwise. The New York Daily News reported this:
"“Kobe not telling Mike D’Antoni tells you something about what Kobe thinks of coaches, and also Mike’s status,’’ said one NBA head coach. “Now if that were Phil Jackson, I would think Kobe would have told him he was going.’’"
Kobe has been working hard in trying to get back before the season opener, though, the fact that he had a procedure or “therapy” done in Germany just last week doesn’t bode well for those thinking he’ll be on the court for that season opening game.
I would think — at this point — that it’s more likely that Kobe will return a few weeks into the season, rather than the season opener against the Clippers.
Though, we should never put anything past Kobe. He’s burned us in the past and, also, he’s Kobe Bryant.
