“Was it something I said?”
That’s what Los Angeles Clippers guard Darren Collison was probably saying after DeAndre Jordan hit him in the face (unintentionally, we think) with an alley-oop dunk on Friday night.
In case you missed it, here’s the video courtesy of Youtube:
The best part of this whole sequence was that Collison was the one who threw it up to Jordan in the first place. The Clippers would go on to lose the game by 10 to the Portland Trail Blazers.
Collison, who was signed as an unrestricted free agent this summer, scored a game-high 31 points with six assists and two steals. He also went 15-of-16 from the foul line. Blake Griffin finished with 18 points and six rebounds in limited action as well. Jordan scored six points, boarded six rebounds and swatted away four shots in 22 minutes, but it was his alley-oop dunk that will probably the most memorable thing taken from that preseason game.
The Clippers have three more preseason games before opening the season against the Los Angeles Lakers on opening night (October 29).
