Every Friday, Sir Charles In Charge will give out their ‘turrible’ award of the week. This could be a horrible box score/shot-chart, video clip or something Javale McGee did.
Honorable Mention: Los Angeles Clippers defense
How does a Laker team with Xavier Young and Nick Young on the floor score 41 points in the 4th quarter(116 total)? The Clippers were barraged by Steph Curry on two nights later and are giving up 109 points per 100 possessions, one of the worst marks in the league!
‘Turrible Award: Phoenix Suns and Philadelphia 76ers are bad at tanking!
They traded away most of their serviceable players for draft picks and other assets to obtain a quality draft pick. This season was supposed to be a wash for the 76ers and the Suns.
Both won their first games of the season, against the back-to-back champions and a Trail-Blazer team that added a lot of depth to their roster. I’m amazed there have not been any reports of Evan Turner or Goran Dragic being on the trading block.
Anyone else spit their drink out looking at Mason Plumlee’s box score?
I guess Michael Carter-Williams did not get the memo Philadelphia wants a top-2 draft pick.
Hey, Michael you’re trying too hard!
