On Wednesday, a report surfaced that the Denver Nuggets and New York Knicks were discussing a trade that would involve Iman Shumpert and Kenneth Faried. However, it appears the reports may have been a little premature.
This was from earlier today:
J.R. Smith is starting & Iman Shumpert could be departing. I'm hearing Knicks-Nuggets continue to discuss an Iman for Kenneth Faried trade.

And within the last hour, Adrian Wojnarowski did his thing and dropped a Woj bomb on this whole situation.
Denver has made it clear to Kenneth Faried's reps: There are no active talks involving him. Knicks offered Shumpert. Denver rejected idea.

There's been significant interest NBA-wide in Faried, but short of including him into a blockbuster deal, it's unlikely Denver moves him.

It’s clear that the Knicks would be more than willing to make the swap, especially with the lack of frontcourt depth (with Tyson Chandler injured and the fact that Amar’e Stoudemire and Kenyon Martin are on a minutes count) but the Nuggets, not so fast.
Still, I won’t rule out the fact that the Nuggets could be smoke-screening the media. Maybe they want to eventually trade Faried, but don’t want to tip their hand.
