The Oklahoma City Thunder (8-3) rode their red-hot 51.9 percent shooting to exact revenge on last week’s loss to the Los Angeles Clippers (8-5) 105-91.

OKC was led, as usual, by Kevin Durant’s 28 points, eight assists and six rebounds. Serge Ibaka added 17 points on a near perfect 8 of 10 shooting from the field. He also added three blocked shots.

In the battle of top-tier point guards, Chris Paul had the last laugh in the loss after finishing with a stellar 17 points, 12 assists and five rebounds. He also extended his streak of double-doubles to start the season to 13. His counterpart, Russell Westbrook finished with 12 points, on 3 of 10 shooting.

Blake Griffin did his usual Blake Griffin thing, finishing with 27 points, 10 rebounds and five assists. Griffin has recorded a double-double in 10 of his last 12 contests.

While the Thunder players were doing their think on the court, one OKC fan felt he needed to continue the trend. For the second straight game a Thunder fan hit a half-court shot to win $20,000. That is five made in the last 22 home games in OKC. Pretty impressive.

Oh yea, and the guy also got to “celebrate” for a few seconds with Jay Z, who attended the game.
