Friday was not a good night for knees. Like Derrick Rose, Grizzlies center and reigning Defensive Player of the Year Marc Gasol left the game against the Spurs Friday night with a non-contact knee injury. The Grizzlies describes it as a “knee sprain”. He didn’t return.
USA Today reported that Gasol would undergo an MRI later today.
Gasol is averaging 17.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, 4.4 assists, and 1.2 blocks per game so far this season.
