The good news is that James Harden is likely to return Friday from a foot injury. The bad news is that they’re losing Jeremy Lin for the next two weeks with, what the Houston Rockets are characterizing as, a knee sprain.
The injury was suffered Wednesday night in the Rockets’ win over the Atlanta Hawks.
Lin had been doing extremely well in his sixth man role with Houston this season, averaging 15.3 points a game, shooting 50.3 percent overall and 39 percent from three.
It appears that veteran reserve Aaron Brooks will see time in Lin’s absence.
