Despite getting completely annihilated by the New York Knicks just a night ago, the Brooklyn Nets did receive some good news — the return of Deron Williams.
He didn’t play against the Knicks on Thursday night, but he expected to return (after missing eight games due to a sprained ankle injury) Tuesday night when the Nets take on the Boston Celtics, ESPN reports.
Williams originally hurt his ankle Nov. 15 against the Suns, he missed two games then. He return Nov. 20 against the Bobcats, but re-aggravated it and hasn’t played since.
Williams is averaging just 9.3 points and six assists per game this season. In his absence, the Nets have gone 2-9 and are now 5-14 on the season.
