If any team could survive without their best player, it’s the San Antonio Spurs. Either way, we’re about to find out if that’s true or false.

The good thing is that the Spurs will only miss Tony Parker for about a week or so — specifically, two games. Roughly.

The Spurs announced on Tuesday night that Parker would be out for at least two games due to a shine contusion. The injury happened in their loss against the Los Angeles Clippers.

"Tony Parker will miss San Antonio’s next two games, at Phoenix on 12/18 and at Golden State on 12/19, due to a right shin contusion. He suffered the injury in the second half of Monday night’s Spurs-Clippers game. Parker will be reevaluated when the team returns to San Antonio at which point his status for Saturday night’s Spurs-Thunder game will be determined."

Parker is averaging 17.4 points and six assists per game on 51.4 percent shooting, he is shooting 40 percent from three so far this season. He’s also led the Spurs to a 19-5 record.
