Los Angeles Clippers’ point guard Chris Paul went down with a shoulder injury during the third quarter of the Clippers’ 119-112 victory over the Dallas Mavericks Friday night.
Paul went down after he was fouled by Mavericks’ guard Monta Ellis.
When Clippers’ head coach Doc Rivers was asked about the injury following the game, he guessed that Paul had a separated shoulder and estimated that Paul would be out for three to five weeks.
Darren Collison, who will fill in for Paul, is averaging 8.1 points, 2.1 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 0.9 steals per game.
Paul is averaging 19.6 points, 11.3 assists, 4.7 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game.
