SCIC’s Game of the Week: The Knicks?

Every week, we will be discussing the game of the week – a game not worth missing.

Another week, another star player goes down. This time it was Chris Paul. You won’t see the Los Angeles Clippers for game of the week for about six weeks, but some other teams you wouldn’t expect will creep up.

GAME OF THE WEEK

Miami Heat at New York Knicks – Thursday, January 9, 8 p.m.

It’s a weak NBA schedule this week, but let’s try to build this one up. Carmelo Anthony is back. The Knicks have been playing decent as of late, despite a bonehead mistake by J.R. Smith this past week. LeBron James seems to love playing at Madison Square Garden. Just expect to be entertained in some way with this game.

Notable games:

Toronto Raptors at Indiana Pacers – Tuesday, January 7, 7 p.m.

You would never think that the Raptors are a team to watch, but they are a fun bunch. They have a lot of talent and a lot of physical players. They beat the Pacers last week, so we will see if they can bring the same type of intensity they brought in Toronto.

San Antonio Spurs at Memphis Grizzlies – Tuesday, January 7, 8 p.m.

Despite injuries, when these two teams meet, it’s always interesting to see what will go down.
