Fresh off his 41-point performance, Rudy Gay was finally beginning to settle into his new role with the Sacramento Kings.
However, the basketball gods wouldn’t let that be. The very next night, he was knocked out of the Kings game against the Houston Rockets due to an Achilles injury.
Gay left in the first quarter of the game, after what appeared to be a non-contact Achilles injury. Sometimes those non-contact injuries end up being of the worst kind.
The Kings announced that he would not return to the game.
