While most of the buzz around the 2014 NBA All-Star weekend is surrounding the All-Star game itself, the Rising Stars Challenge (which features the rookie and sophomore classes) roster was recently released.
Here are the teams:
Rookies: Steven Adams (Thunder), Giannis Antetokounmpo (Bucks), Pero Antic (Hawks), Trey Burke (Jazz), Michael Carter-Williams (76ers), Tim Hardaway Jr. (Knicks), Victor Oladipo (Magic), Kelly Olynyk (Celtics), Mason Plumlee (Nets).
Sophomores: Harrison Barners (Warriors), Bradley Beal (Wizards), Anthony Davis (Pelicans), Andre Drummond (Pistons), Terrance Jones (Rockets), Damian Lillard (Trail Blazers), Jared Sullinger (Celtics), Jonas Valanciunas (Raptors), Dion Waiters (Cavaliers).
They will be drafted into two teams, then the fans will be able to vote for the starters on NBA.com. The coaches for the teams will be an assistant from the staff of Scott Brooks of the Thunder and Frank Vogel in Indiana (those are the two All-Star Game coaches, their lead assistants have to work Friday night, too).
The game will be broadcast by TNT on Feb. 14 starting at 7 p.m. ET.
