According to Yahoo Sports, Denver Nuggets center JaVale McGee could miss the rest of the season because of a stress fracture in his left leg.
Per Adrian Wojnarowki, McGee has been seeking other medical options on the injury, which simply hasn’t been able to heal properly this season. The 26-year-old center played in five games for the Nuggets before he injured his leg in early November.
McGee marks the third Nuggets player whose been lost for the season — Danilo Gallinari and Nate Robinson were both lost for the year due to torn ACL ligaments.
McGee had averaged 9.1 points and nearly five rebounds a game for Denver in the 2012-13 season and 7.0 points and 3.4 rebounds in the five games he played this season. He has two-plus years left on a contract that pays him $11.2 million next season and $12 million in 2015-16.
