Phil Jackson to New York?

Adam Lefkoe of Bleacher Report caught up with Frank Isola of the New York Daily News on Thursday to discuss the New York Knicks coaching options if in fact Mike Woodson doesn’t return after this season. In the video, Isola brings up the name Phil Jackson as an option that the Knicks would visit in order to “woo” Carmelo Anthony to re-sign.

"[Bleacher Report]“They can throw around money like it’s nobody’s business, so I think they’ll probably start at the top. I think they’ll probably try to talk to Phil Jackson. I think the person that takes the job has to know what they’re getting into.”Here is the complete list of coaching candidates that Isola tosses around:"
"Phil Jackson"
"John Calipari"
"Jeff Van Gundy"
"Tom Thibodeau"

Of course, this is all just hearsay and educated guesses — right now. But is it out of the realm of possibility for the Knicks to do that? No. Expect the rumors to start, especially

if

after Mike Woodson is fired.

And, right now, that is looking like a pretty good possibility.
