With the NBA trade season very well underway, get ready to start hearing rumors left and right.

The latest one comes via Sam Amick of USA Today, who reported that the Phoenix Suns inquired about the availability of Zach Randolph as the Feb 20 deadline approaches.

As you may already know, the Suns have expressed interest in Los Angeles Lakers forward/center Pau Gasol, but with his latest injury — which is expected to keep him out up until the deadline — it’s becoming highly unlikely that the Suns would effort such trade. It appears that the Suns are asking around to see what other “featured” big man they could get their hands on for a late-season playoff push.

Randolph has an opt out clause in his contract, which he has yet to declare his plans. However, it’s likely that Randolph would test the free agency market to see if he can break bank one last time.

On the other hand, Memphis has no current plans of trading Randolph.
