Rumors flooded in last week which stated that there was a possibility that the New York Knicks would fire head coach Mike Woodson before or during this weekend’s NBA All-Star break. Rumors.

If in fact they are true, Woodson’s time is about to be up in New York. However, when he was asked recently if he was given any assurance that he would be back after this weekend’s short break, Woodson remained loyal. To himself.

"[ESPN]“Again guys this is not about me,” Woodson said at the Knicks facility on Monday. “Unless you guys know something I don’t know, then the only thing I can say is I’m going to be back.“Unless you guys know something, I’m the coach of the Knicks and that’s all I know at this point.”"

Apart from going all Arnold Schwarzenegger on us, it sounds like Woodson has no clue. Neither do we. Heck, the Knicks management probably doesn’t even know what they’re going to do.

At the end of the day, I still think Woodson is gone no matter if it comes this weekend or after this season. Still, I don’t see why the Knicks would make the move right now. There’s nothing to gain from it.
