According to Yahoo’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Philadelphia 76ers have traded center Spencer Hawes to the Cleveland Cavaliers for two second-round draft picks.
The Sixers will also receive Earl Clark in the exchange. Hawes contract expires after this season.
Hawes has averaged 13 points and 8.5 rebounds for the Sixers this season. He’s also shooting 40 percent from three-point range.
Philly was rumored to be in the market for more draft picks, and a trade like this does exactly that. This is one of a couple, or few, trades that the Sixers could be working on today.
Evan Turner, former Sixers first round pick, could also very well get traded by the 3 p.m. trade deadline. I’m sure most Sixers fans hope he is.
Thaddeaus Young is also a name that has been popping up in trade rumors all week.
