While it was expected for Andrew Bynum to make his Indiana Pacers debut on Friday, Frank Vogel told the media this morning that he plans on playing Bynum tonight against the Boston Celtics.

Andrew Bynum has lived an entire career during this NBA season. He was courted last offseason, signed by the Cleveland Cavaliers, got into it (reportedly) with Cavs head coach Mike Brown, was released and courted again during Feb free agency and signed by the Indiana Pacers. If Indiana gets their way, they’ll also gift Bynum a Championship ring.

Insane.

The weirdest part of that whole sequence is the fact that Bynum has only played in 24 games this season (all with the Cavs) and not in one since Dec 26. However, both he and the Pacers (his new team) is hoping that changes in the near future — like Friday.

The Pacers are in midst of a four-game losing streak and maybe Bynum could supply a boost that the team could desperately use right now.
