Yesterday the Houston Rockets learned that they would be without starting point guard Patrick Beverley for the foreseeable future, today they lose Dwight Howard for at least the next 10 days.

Howard has already missed three games with the injury and struggled his way through Thursday’s game against the Philadelphia 76ers (his second game back after removing a cyst from his ankle on Tuesday).

Though, Howard went through shootaround on Saturday, he ruled himself out for tonight’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers and for the next 10 days.

Omer Asik is expected to start in place of Howard for the Rockets on Saturday night, and while he remains out.

Howard is averaging 18.5 points and 12.3 rebounds per game this season for Houston.
