A year later, not much has changed.
The San Antonio Spurs and Miami Heat are still the two best teams in the NBA and will duke it out in the NBA Finals for the second-straight season.
One thing that has changed, however, is the format. The NBA has disposed of the 2-3-2 in favor of the more conventional 2-2-1-1-1 format. In other words, the Finals won’t put the road team in such a bind, where all their home games are back-to-back-to-back. One could argue that it actually gives the teams that don’t have homecourt advantage a better chance to win the Finals now.
We’ll see.
In any case, set your DVR’s now.
