New York Knicks’ President of Basketball Operations Phil Jackson has officially been fined $25,000 for alleged tampering charges, according to ESPN.

Jackson has been accused of tampering with Oklahoma City Thunder guard Derek Fisher. ESPN’s Marc Stein was the first to report the story.

"ESPN has learned that Knicks president Phil Jackson has been fined $25,000 for tampering with Oklahoma City Thunder guard Derek Fisher.Fine stems from comments Jackson made at press conference last week about possibly hiring Fisher to coach the Knicks."

I’m sure it’s going to be no problem for Jackson to cover the chargers, but it’s quite humorous that he is getting charged with tampering over Fisher. Plus, the reason for the tampering charges is because he talked about Fisher’s potential hiring at a press conference last week. I guess we’re supposed to act like they haven’t been in communication for a while now…OK, we’ll play along.

We must remember, NBA. The Zen Master doesn’t care. This is his world. We’re just living in it.
