While there was a low chance that Dirk would leave the Mavs, there is essentially zero chance that Tim Duncan leaves the Spurs. Teammate Tony Parker has already stated that Tim would likely be returning, with the only other realistic scenario being retirement. Much like Dirk, Timmy is a tremendous per-minute player, with a monstrous 5.28 RPM score. However, like Dirk, the 38-year old Duncan is nearing the end of his career, and nobody really knows when that ticking time bomb will go off.
