T.J. Warren: Phoenix Suns

Warren couldn’t have landed in a better spot. He’s the perfect fit for Phoenix, who didn’t have a solid small forward option last season. The Suns work by committee, and Warren is another guy who can contribute. He’s a very versatile player and can score in a variety of ways. He carried the load last season for North Carolina State. Warren knows how to get the jobs done when the defense is specifically preparing to stop him and only him. I’m getting excited just imagining how many opportunities he will have with Goran Dragic and Eric Bledsoe running the show for Phoenix.

With the Suns, playing time will be limited for Warren at first. There’s a lot of guys who see minutes on the team, and Warren will probably backup Gerald Green, at least for the first part of the season. With the dual point guard threat of Bledsoe and Dragic, Green, a traditional shooting guard, steps into the small forward role. I also expect Archie Goodwin to play a little behind Green as well, so it may be hard for Warren to carve out a path for himself next season, but I do see a bright future for Phoenix and Warren together.
