NBA Rumors
There’s no question that Kyle Lowry is expected to receive a big payday within the next few days.
The only question, however, is where he’ll receive said payday from. And according to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst, Lowry is expected to make a decision regarding his free agency status in the next 24-48 hours.
His options? The Los Angeles Lakers, Houston Rockets or the incumbent Toronto Raptors. Not the Miami Heat, as many predicted prior to the free agency period.
"[via Twitter]Kyle Lowry will take some time to consider options. Raptors, Rockets and Lakers are bidders, sources said. Heat have not progressed talks."
Desptie the Lakers and Rockets bids, the Raptors remain confident that Lowry will ultimately re-sign, according to NBA.com’s David Aldridge.
"“He knows us, and we know him,” a source said."
Lowry broke onto the all-star scene this past season by averaging 18 points, seven assists and five rebounds per game for the Toronto Raptors. He also led them to the playoffs for the first time since 2008, where his club lost in Game 7 of the first round against the Brooklyn Nets.
