The Miami Heat essentially traded LeBron James for Luol Deng.

After LeBron left the Heat for Cleveland, it would’ve been so easy for Pat Riley and the Heat to simply sit in a corner and pout. Instead, they’ve put together a solid little team back together.

They re-signed Chris Bosh, are expected to re-up Dwyane Wade, already have Josh McRoberts and Danny Granger on board, and now have added Luol Deng at the wing position.

"[Yahoo]After losing LeBron James, the Miami Heat have reached agreement with free-agent forward Luol Deng on a two-year, $20 million contract, league sources told Yahoo Sports.Deng will likely hold a player option on the 2015-16 season, a source said.Deng chose the Heat believing their returning nucleus and free-agent signings can keep them contending in the Eastern Conference. The absence of state income tax made the Heat’s offer a sound financial decision for him, too."

In addition, the Heat are nearing deals with Dwyane Wade, Udonis Haslem and Chris Andersen according to Adrian Wojnarowski.
