Danny Granger was once the face of the Indiana Pacers before going down with injuries. He returned half-way through last season and played 29 games with Indiana Pacers before moving to the Los Angeles Clippers, where he played 12 games. He has been limited due to being injury prone, but can still be a valuable player off the bench for the Heat. Not to mention, he could get back to playing very well if he ever becomes 100% healthy again.

In the 12 games he played with the Clippers, he averaged 8.0 points per game, 2.3 rebounds per game, 0.7 assists per game, 0.3 blocks per game and 0.3 steals per game in 16.2 minutes per game. Coming off the bench, that’s all the Heat really need. The major thing the Heat lacked against the Spurs in the NBA Finals was a bench to take pressure off of the starters.

Granger signed a two-year deal with the Heat that will pay him just over $1 million next year. Pat Riley feels confident that he will deliver when he said, “We expect him to be a multi-position player and have a very successful season in our system.”
