Mike Conley is the type of point guard that nobody ever talks about, but everyone wants to have. He’s not elite in any particular aspect of the game, but he also has no weaknesses. He’s a respectable three-point shooter, can run a post-centered offense, but can also carry a team’s offense when needed. Oh, and among all point guards with at least 14 field-goal attempts per game, only Damian Lillard posted a lower turnover rate.

The only “knock” on Conley is that he’ll be 27 this season, meaning any drastic improvements in the future are unlikely. As such, its almost inevitable that younger guards like Bledsoe or Rose will come to claim his top five spot. Regardless of whether or not that happens however, Conley is still an elite point guard, and coupled with Gasol and Randolph, is enough to keep Memphis competitive.
