  • What’s Changed?

One four-time Most Valuable Player is gone and a 5-year contract worth about $118 million is fueling him; what more could you ask for? Five years removed from his last stint as a leader of the Toronto Raptors, Chris Bosh now finds himself in a similar role of having to guide Miami’s post-LeBron era. While Dwyane Wade and newly-signed forwards Luol Deng and Josh McRoberts will help carry the load, the bulk of it will fall on Bosh, the additional burden that comes along with a max-level contract.

    How Does He Respond?

In his tenure with the Heat, Bosh has evolved into a multi-positional defender and dangerous long-range threat. While he’s still deadly in the painted area, it will be up to Bosh and head coach Erik Spoelstra to determine a way of getting the most of that varied skillset. To his credit, Bosh seems ready for the challenge. As he mixes up his terrific shooting, great mobility and versatile low-post game, Bosh should lead Miami in scoring and rebounding; not coincidentally, the role that had been filled previously by LeBron James.
