NBA Preview: Rookie Studs and Duds

Generally, it’s difficult to grade a draft class until after a few years into their careers but this year’s rookie class has the potential to be one of the best we’ve seen in a while.

When comparisons are drawn to the incredible 2003 NBA Draft Class, expectations will be higher. And this year’s bunch is being compared to that draft class, mostly because of potential stars in Andrew Wiggins and Jabari Parker.

In addition, there are so many prospects in this draft that have the potential but how many of them will actually live up to it?

As fans of the game, we all have this debate at some point simply because we know there will be guys that don’t live to the hype — it’s just how it is in sports in general, not just basketball.

After taking an extensive look at all of the draft selections in this year’s draft I came up with a list of the “studs,” and “duds,” for this year’s class. Since, I do anticipate so many studs I have limited both categories to three players.

Here are my three projected “studs” and “duds” for the 2014-15 NBA season.
