DUD

Zach LaVine, G Minnesota Timberwolves

This may have come as a surprise to some of you, but don’t forget this guy was taken solely on athleticism.

When I think of prospects like this I think of Gerald Green, Travis Outlaw, etc. Most of the time, the high flyers don’t pan out and here is another example.

Zach LaVine will be very exciting to watch, and I am sure he will have a few highlights on SportsCenter this year. However, he will never be a starter in this league and will be nothing more than a dunk contest participant — which is fine.

He has a decent jump shot as well, and his athleticism to allow him to get a couple steals here and there as well. I may have been a bit harsh before, but as a lottery pick expectations should be high, right? He is one of the reasons people will still watch the Wolves but all I am saying is don’t expect too much out of him.
